The NHLBI is soliciting applications for the following research opportunity: “Analytical and/or Clinical Validation of Candidate Biomarkers for Curative Therapies in Sickle Cell Disease.” The proposed projects will develop and validate assays for biomarkers of clinical endpoints, to be used in clinical trials of genetic-based curative treatments for sickle cell disease. I discovered my daughter who is a year and five months has SCD. This has made me study about the disease and in my findings, I got to know that BMT is the only cure. I’m willing to care for my daughter but limited resources are available right now which makes divorce to be the last option on my mind. If there’s any research opportunity, I’m ready to participate. I just want a cure for my beautiful first and only daughter. Thank you in advance
