Dr. Walrond is a founding member of the Sickle Cell Foundation of Alberta and a driving member of the (Re) Imagining Health Conference Committee. Jean’s passion is to create a fertile bed of soil for research and growth of treatments in the field of sickle cell disease and thalassemia. It aims to inspire students, nurses, doctors, researchers and caregivers to (re) imagine healthcare for patients around the world.
