Registered Nurse Specialized in Neonatal Intensive Care with 5 Years on SCFA

Reason for joining SCFA:

Joined the foundation because I wanted to make connections with likeminded individuals in hopes to spread awareness, educate, and support Edmontons sickle cell community. I hope to provide our young sickle cell warriors with programs to bring them together, the education necessary to stay healthy and enough support to know they’re not alone.

Did you know?

The only known cure for Sickle Cell Disease is a stem cell transplant (or bone marrow transplant). Due to the difficulty in finding an identical match and the significant risks involved in this procedure, including life-threatening complications, it is rarely an option for sickle cell patients.
