Reason for joining SCFA:

I joined the SCFA to bring awareness to the Calgary community. Many of the patients and caregivers in this region are unaware of this awesome foundation and the resources and tools they provide for the sickle cell community. I’ve been working in the events industry since I was a teen and hope to create events and gatherings that can bring the community together and further unite us in this cause.

Did you know?

The only known cure for Sickle Cell Disease is a stem cell transplant (or bone marrow transplant). Due to the difficulty in finding an identical match and the significant risks involved in this procedure, including life-threatening complications, it is rarely an option for sickle cell patients.
